You must understand what is ADDITION and what is MULTIPLICATION. You resolve this "math challenge" once you know what each of these means.

Basic Fact: 6%2B6=12.
I assume a lower level for this fact is unnecessary.

Basic Fact: 6x6=6%2B6%2B6%2B6%2B6%2B6;
You work from there.
