You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A submarine traveled to Madagascar and back. It took four hours less time to get there than it did to get back. The average speed on trip there was 14km/h. The average speed on the way back was 10km/h. How many hours did the trip there take?
I got 140 hrs which i think is wrong.

Let time to get there be T
Then time taken on return trip is: T + 4
Distance traveled on trip there is: 14T
Distance traveled on return trip is: 10(T + 4), or 10T + 40
The distances are equal so, 14T+=+10T+%2B+40
14T - 10T = 40
4T = 40
T, or time taken to get there = 40%2F4, or highlight_green%28highlight_green%2810%29%29 hours
You can do the check!!
