Question 775063: So my math teacher asked us to try and solve for x giving us the equation: A=2pirx+pir^2 sorry I don't know how to do the Pi symbol so I just wrote it in. I honestly have no clue how to go by solving this problem so if you could help and maybe write down or explain the steps of how to approach this problem I would greatly appreciate it. thanks :) Answer by josgarithmetic(39617) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Without the rendering tags, A=2*pi*r*x+pi*r^2.
With the rendering tags triple left braces and triple right braces,
Make all terms containing x on one side and all other terms on the other side; divide or multiply as appropriate to isolate just x.
PROCESS:
Additive Inverse of .
Multiplicative Inverse of .
Simplify.
