The larger of two consecutive integers is represented by x+4. Which expression represents the smaller integer?
A- x+5
B- x+2
C- x+6
D- x+3
Please explain to me how to solve this question.
------
If you have 2 consecutive integers and the larger is 3
do you see that the smaller would have to be 2.
----
If x+4 is the larger, x+4-1 = x+3 would be the smaller.
