I'll use the substitution method to solve;
x=3+4y
Substitute 3+4y for x;
3(3+4y)-8y=10
9+12y-8y=10
12y-8y=10-9
4y=1
y=1%2F4
Now substitute 1%2F4 for y;
x-4%281%2F4%29=3
x-1=3
x=4
So the answer;
y=1%2F4
x=4
