You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It seems like you almost have it. Remember to always solve the inside of the ( ) first, which you have done. However, if there is a mult. sign in front of the () you must mult. first before you add the last number.
lets do one side of the - at a time ok?
the first side is
(7(8-2)+9)
(7(6)+9) you must mult. the 7 and the 6 then add the 9 for the correct order
of operations.
7*6+9=51
so the first side of you equation is now 51. For the second side you have
(13-2)(11-6) the way you have it written, the whole problem is divided by 1.
11*5=55
so now you have the following when you put them together.
51-55/1
-4/1
-4
is this the answer you were looking for? You have it, you just need to remember your order of operations. OK.
