The temperature was 15C at noon when the cold front entered the area. The temperature began dropping at a rate of 7C per hour for the next several hours. Write an expression for what the temperature was after h hours. Evaluate the expression to find the temperature after 4 hours.
Temp = -7h + 15
T(4) = -7(4) + 15 = -13C

A submarine is 10 feet below sea level. it dives 8 feet per second. write an expression to describe the submarines position after s seconds. evaluate the expression to find the submarines position after 30 seconds.
P(t) = -8t - 10
P(30) = -8*30 - 10
P(30) = -250 ft

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let h be the number of hours and C the temperature after h hours
15-7h=C evaluating h=4 we have 15-7(4)=-13Celcius
::::::::::
let s be the number of seconds and D be the depth after s seconds
10+8s=D...evaluating s=30 we have 10+8(30)=250 ft deep
