You can put this solution on YOUR website!

There is no defined solution.
If you start with a/b as your fraction, you will end up with a=-1 and b=0 so the part about adding 1 to the numerator to get 1 results in division by zero.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the fraction be A%2FB.
So then,
A%2F%28B%2B1%29=-1
A=-B-1
1.A%2BB=-1
and
%28A%2B1%29%2FB=1
A%2B1=B
2.A-B=-1
Add 1 and 2,
A%2BB%2BA-B=-1-1
2A=-2
A=-1
Now use either equation to solve for B.
-1%2BB=-1
B=0
So your fraction is an inappropriate fraction, -1%2F0, since division by zero is not allowed.
I leave it to you to solve for the sum of the numerator and denominator.
