"Elimination" maybe what you mean?

Find a way to eliminate x.

system%2833=3%2A11%2C22=2%2A11%29

Equivalent System to Eliminate x:
system%2866x%2B28y=38%2C66x%2B42y=42%29

Multiply members of the first equation by -1:
system%28-66x-28y=-38%2C66x%2B42y=42%29
-
Add the corresponding members.
Solve for y.

Solve by the addition method
33x+14y=19
22x+14y=14
33x + 14y = 19 -------- eq (i)
22x + 14y = 14 -------- eq (ii)
Multiply eq (ii) by - 1 to get eq (iii)
Add eqs (iii) & (i) to eliminate y, and determine the value of x
Substitute value for x in any of the 2 original equations to determine value of y
It is that simple....nothing complex!!
