Question 99560: Hello,
I'm swamped here. I am really no good at math. I have to show the steps to this problem for my professor and for me, so I can see how it's done. The problem is:

evaluate each algebraic expression for the given value of the variable:
-6(x + 3) when x = 2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
evaluate the expression means take the value you are given for a variable
in this case we are told that x=2
and replace the variable in the problem with that value
so we have
-6%28x+%2B+3%29
first replace x with 2
-6%282+%2B+3%29
then do the math following order of operations
first add the numbers in the parentheses
-6%285%29
now a number outside a set of parenthese means multiply so
multiply the -6 times 5
-30
and thats it
