the n^2 on the top and the n on the bottom will become n*n / n.
this is equivalent to n/1 * n/n.
the n/n cancels out and you are left with n/1 which is equal to n.
the formula states that n^2 / n would be equal to n^(2-1) which is equal to n^1 which is equal to n.
same result.
the coefficients are divided separately by each other.
3*n^2 / 5*n is equivalent to (3/5) * (n^2)/n which then becomes equal to (3/5) * n which then becomes equal to (3*n)/5
