Descending-exponent form simply means that you put the term with the highest exponent (-x%5E6) first, followed by the term with the next lowest exponent (-6x%5E4), and so on. So, it would look like this:
-x%5E6-6x%5E4%2B7x%5E3-4
The degree of a polynomial, such as you have here, is given by the highest exponent which, in this case, is 6 (fromx%5E6).
So this is a polynomial of the 6th degree.
