3p^6+18p^5+24p^4

since no number goes into 24 and then go into 18p^5 when added i turned it into this:
3p^4(p^2+2) (3p^4+4)
correct or incorrect. I fincorrect where have i gone wrong & what might the real answer be?

= 3p^4*(p^2 + 6p + 8)
= 3p^4*(p + 2)*(p + 4)
