You can put this solution on YOUR website!
%28%2812x%29%283x%5E2%29%29%2F%288x%5E5%29
multiply the numbers, when you multiply numbers with exponents you add the exponents. 12x is actually 12x^1
%28%2836x%5E%282%2B1%29%29%29%2F%288x%5E5%29 = %28%2836x%5E3%29%29%2F%288x%5E5%29
reduce the fraction
%28%289x%5E3%29%29%2F%282x%5E5%29
When you combine like terms across the fraction you subtract exponents,
do this in a manner that will give you positive exponents
9%2F%28%282x%5E%285-3%29%29%29 = 9%2F%28%282x%5E2%29%29
