Question 461958: Hello. I just keep getting all of these type equations incorrect mainly because I am having so much trouble with the "exponential notation with positive exponents. Here is the equation.
Multiply and Simplify.Type exponential notation
(64b^2 over 2b^2-12b+18) * (2b-6 over 8b)
Please help with the answer and proper way of writing the answer. Thanks!! Answer by lwsshak3(11628) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Multiply and Simplify.Type exponential notation
(64b^2 over 2b^2-12b+18) * (2b-6 over 8b)
..
(64b^2)/ (2b^2-12b+18) * (2b-6)/8b
Simplify by dividing numerator and denominator by 2, so you will be working with smaller numbers.
32b^2/(b^2-6b+9)*(b-3)/4b
32b^2/(b-3)^2*(b-3)/4b (you should recognize that (b^2-6b+9) is a perfect square=(b-3)^2)
cancelling out 4b and (b-3)
=8b/b-3 (ans)
