You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simplify the expression completely using the rules of exponents:
(b4)(b^6)
_________
(b^2)^2
:
When you multiply like terms (like the numerator), add the exponents
%28b%5E%284%2B6%29%29%2F%28%28b%5E2%29%5E2%29 = %28b%5E10%29%2F%28%28b%5E2%29%5E2%29
When you raise an exponent to another exponent, (denominator) you multiply exponents
%28b%5E10%29%2F%28b%5E4%29
when you divide, you subtract the dividing term's exponent
b%5E%2810-4%29 = b%5E6
