The first one says: Take the number -12, multiply it by itself to get 144, and then take the reciprocal of the result giving you 1%2F144.

The second one says: Take the number 12, multiply it by itself to get 144, take the reciprocal of the result giving you 1%2F144 AND THEN take the opposite of that result -- final result: -1%2F144.
