Question 117318: This question is about simplifying by adding like terms. I don't think I can duplicate the question here in a simple way because I can't show exponents and negative exponents. I have the answer to the problem (5xsquaredycubed) but don't know why that is the answer.
If you have access to seeing this problem, can you please help? If not, then I can try to "spell it out" if needed.

Question 117614: I'm not sure if this is the category so I apologize if it's not. I have this problem that is a little differnet than the other problems I am doing and need some help. Here it is.
(x-1/4)(x+1/4)what method should I used to solve this? Would I put a 1 under the x?

Question 118622: I have a few Questions about negative fractional exponents. I was unable to find the answer any where on the Internet.
The question is what I need to do in general with them. I will state the problem and then show all the work I am able to do.
The Problem is: 81 with an exponent of -(3/4)
