Question 232918: Okay im not sure which category i would be choosing for this but its negitive numumbers as well as fractions , ill explain.
in this set of chips, each plain chip has a value of -1, and each striped chip has a value of 1.
theres 4 plain chips and 2 striped.
how do i solve this?

Question 233405: Regarding negative exponents. Please explain why 2^-2 evaluates to 1/2^2 =1/4, but (-2^3)^2 evaluates to 2^6=64. I do not understand why the second expression results in a whole number. bljones1944@charter.net
