You can put this solution on YOUR website!
%288%2F7%29x=-12 Start with the given equation

cross%28%287%2F8%29%288%2F7%29%29x=-12%287%2F8%29 Multiply both sides by %287%2F8%29 to eliminate 8%2F7 on the left side

x=-84%2F8%29 Multiply

x=-21%2F2%29 Reduce

So our answer is x=-21%2F2%29 which is x=-10.5 in decimal form

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8/7*X=-12
8X/7=-12 NOW CROSS MULTIPLY
8X=-12*7
8X=-84
X=-84/8
X=-21/2 ANSWER.
PROOF
8/7(-21/2)=-12
-168/14=-12
-12=-12

8/7x=-12
1st in all problems with fractions and equal signs (equations): FIRST, GET RID OF THE FRACTIONS !!!
multiply 7 times both sides: 8x=-84
get rid of the 8; divide 8 into each side: x=-84/8=-21/2
