You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve for x:
2 1/5 (x) - 3/4 = -4 1/2 First, clear the fractions by multiplying through by 20 (the LCD) after changing the mixed numbers to improper fractions. Simplify. Add 15 to both sides. Finally, divide both sides by 44. or
x = -1 31/44
