You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2/-2^-3 is supposed to be equal to 16.
Use the rule that says: a^(-1) = 1/(a)^(+1)
Actually, the answer is not 16 but -16.
2/-2^-3 becomes 2/(-2)^(-3) = 2/(1/-8)
For 2/(1/-8), we multiply the top and bottom by -8.
So, 2/(1/-8) becomes 2(-8)/1 = -16/1 = -16
The correct answer is -16.
