Question 581664: The question is: log x^3 - 2log 1/x - 1= 0
What I tried:
3log x- (-2log x) - 1= 0
3log x + 2 log x - 1= 0
5 log x- 1 = 0
5 log x = 1
log x = 1/5
x= 10^1/5
or
3log x- (-2log x) - 1= 0
3log x + 2 log x - 1= 0
5 log x- 1 = 0
5 log x = 1
log x^5 = 1
x^1=5
x=5
I'm still confused with this kind of questions. Thanks in advance ^0^!

Question 581749: The question is:
log(base x)2 + log(base2)x= -2
What I did:
log(base x)2 + log(base2)x= -2
log(base x)2+ 1/log(base x)2= -2
(log (base x)2)^2 + 1= -2log(base x)2
Take log(base x)2 as a:
a^2 + 1= -2a
a^2 + 2a + 1= 0
(a+1)(a+1)=0
a+1=0
a=-1
log(base x)2= -1
x^-1= 2
x= 1/2
I tried doing this, but I'm not sure if I'm right =)
Thanks in advance!!

Question 581754: This is the question:
log(base 5) 125^1/2 + log(base 11) 121^1/3= 13/6
What I tried:
log(base 5) 125^1/2 + log(base 11) 121^1/3 = 13/6
log(base 5) 5*5^1/2+ log (base11) 121^1/3= 13/6
Yup,unfortunately, I'm stuck at here.
Thanks in advance ^0^!!

Question 585645: Okay so for a car project I have this problem and I need to find out how long it would take for me to pay for the car to pay less than 125% of what it is worth.- A=P(1+r/12)^t. A= amount of money total i paid for the car,P= amount of loan i needed) r= interest rate and t= length of loan(in months)
For my particular case, I have: A= 26641.12, P= 21000, r= .0349 (3.49%), and t= 48. I know I have to use logarithms to get T down to find the time, but I'm stuck

Question 590108: Hi, I've been having trouble with logarithms, i tried to solve the problem below but i'm not sure if it's correct.
ln3x-ln15=2
How i tried to solve:
ln3x-ln15=2
ln3x divided by ln 15 = 2
then i crossed out ln with e
divided the 15 & 3 =5x
and i got x=2 over 5 e
Hopefully, that made sense.
