32-16x=1 Multiply


-16x=1-32 Subtract 32 from both sides.


-16x=-31 Combine like terms.


x=-31%2F%28-16%29 Divide both sides by -16 to isolate x.


x=31%2F16 Reduce


So the solution is x=31%2F16
