SOLUTION:
{{{5^(x+3)=6^(x-5)}}}
I cannot figure out how to solve this with my TI-84. Could you please help me solve this? the power is not just x but x+3 over the 5 and x-5 over

Question 535555:
I cannot figure out how to solve this with my TI-84. Could you please help me solve this? the power is not just x but x+3 over the 5 and x-5 over the 6. I am sorry I do not know how to illustrate this any better. Answer by boilpoil(127) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! ln=ln
xln(5)+3ln(5)=ln((x-5)ln(6))
xln(5)+3ln(5)=(xln(6)-5ln(6))
x(ln(5)-ln(6))=-3ln(5)-5ln(6)
x=(-3ln-5ln(6))/(ln(5)-ln(6)) ---Sorry can't post the {} thingy because it thinks 'ln' is a variable, so just think '/' as the fraction line.
