Question 470322: Thank you in advance for your help. I'm 64 years old and not good at math.
my formula concerns rocket fuel, it is as follows-
burn rate =0.0046*(350)0.6, the 0.6 is an exponent of the fuel.
the solved problem is 0.0046*33.608=0.155 inches per second.
I do not understand how he arrived at the number 33.608.
the 0.0046 is the coeffient of the fuel and the 350 is the chamber pressure.
I would know what to do if the exponient was a whole number. Can you help me? Richard J Stanley watts ok.

Hi
burn rate = 0.0046%2A%28350%29%5E0.6+
where 0.0046 is the coeffient of the fuel and 350 is the chamber pressure.
350%5E.6 = 33.608 Best found using a scientific calculator
burn rate = 0.0046%2A33.608+=+highlight%28.155%29
