Write the exponent equiv
10^0 = (3x+7)
:
1 = 3x + 7
:
1 - 7 = 3x
:
-6 = 3x
x = %28-6%29%2F3
x = -2

Check it: log(3(-2)+7) which is log(1) enter in your calc, to get 0
