If p > 0 and x = 8 in the equation above,...



Assuming you really have sqrt%283p%5E2-11%29-8=0, based on the way your parentheses appear, then you need 3p%5E2-11%3E=0 but also sqrt%283p%5E2-11%29=8. The equation is important.

Square both sides of that last form.
3p%5E2-11=64
3p%5E2=64%2B11=75
p%5E2=75%2F3=25
For the positive p, highlight%28p=5%29.
