Question 1102002: I don't know if I Can include links to photos, so i dont know how to include the graph here. But the question is
Some bullfrogs were introduced into a small pond. The graph shows the bullfrog population for the next few years. Assume that the population grows exponentially.

Find a function that models the bullfrog population t years since the bullfrogs were put into the pond. (Round your r value to four decimal places.)
(d) Estimate how long it takes the population to reach 97,000. (Round your answer to the nearest whole number.)

I dont understand how to get a function from a graph. The graph has the points (0,100) as the initial and then gives us the point (2, 225) as well.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(The hyperlink you gave seemed to work.)

The two reported data points are enough to work with.

Model would use y=a%2Ab%5Ex and your two points from the graph are (0,100) and (2,225). x is time and y is population size.

The points each give an equation.
100=100%2Ab%5E0 not telling much;

225=100%2Ab%5E2, which lets you find value of b.
