Hello! First, I will give you the meanings of the properties for addition. PROPERTIES FOR ADDITION 1. Commutative Property of Addition(CPA)-It states that changing the order of the addends will not affect the sum. {{{a+b=b+a}}} 2. Associative Property of Addition(APA)-It states that changing the groupings of the addends will not affect the sum. {{{a+(b+c)=(a+b)+c}}} 3. Identity Property of Addition(IPA)-It states that when you add 0 to any real number, the sum is the number itself. {{{a+0=a}}} Now, I will give you the meaning of the properties for multiplication. PROPERTIES FOR MULTIPLICATION 1. Commutative Property of Multiplication(CPM)-It states that changing the order of the factors will not affect the product. {{{a*b=b*a}}} 2. Associative Property of Multiplication(APM)-It states that changing the groupings of the factor will not affect the product. {{{a*(b*c)=(a*b)*c}}} 3. Identity Property of Multiplication(IPM)-it states that when you multiply any number by 1 the result is the number. {{{a*1=a}}} 4. Zero Property of Multiplication(ZPM)- It states that when you multiply any number by 0 the result is 0. {{{a*0=0}}} I think that is all. *I did not put the distributive property because it is already explained in the previous lessons. Thank You for reading my lesson!
