Mara is twice as old as Aina translates to
(i) M+=+2A
In 10 years, the sum of their age, will be 44 translates to
(ii) M+%2B+10+%2B+A+%2B+10+=+44
by substitution of (i) into (ii) we get
(iii) 2A+%2B+10+%2B+A+%2B+10+=+44
we get
3A+%2B+20+=+44
3A+=+24
A+=+8
Mara = 16 and Ania = 8.
