You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x+20=2x +12

You have to keep in mind that 4x and 2x are numbers.
You may add or subtract them just as you do other numbers.

Subtract 2x from both sides to get:
2x + 20 = 12
Subtract 20 from both sides to get:
2x = -8
Divide both sides by 2 to get:
x = -4
