Question 754176: In the xy plane line l passes through the origin and is perpendicular to the line 4x+y=k, where k is a constant. If the two lines intersect at the point (t, t+1), what is the value of t?
I don't understand the significance of the line passing through the origin.
The answer is -4/3

Question 760088: I have a few sets of points, what i need is a table of every 20 seconds, which I could do if I had the equation. It has been over 50 years since class. I can tell the slope is changing so it is a curved line decreasing less rapidly over time, I think the y-value is infinity as x approaches 0 and x-value is infinity as y approaches 0. - So how do I figure what is the equation (unless there is a website somewhere I can just put in the points and get the equation because I will have more of these) and how does the graph really look for these points:
time/ x seconds, y points
5:07 307,3908
5:15 315,3809
6:19 379,3166
7:12 432,2777
7:30 450,2666
Thank you from a deteriorating mind.
