Question 368863: You guys have been so great and a life saver to one who is "math illiterate" like me.
Do you know the answer to the question (5, 1) is a solution to 2x - 3y = 7. The answer must be explained in verbal terms, although plotting it first on a graph would be helpful.
Again, thanks a million.

Question 376786: Hi - Need assistance and my tutor is gone for weekend. It is graphing
y = -x^2 and y = -(x-2)^2 + 1
I did the y = -x^2 it is a perabola that opens down from zero and then goes out to (-1,-1) (1,-1) (-2,-4)(2,-4) but am confused on the second one - I know that it shifts but uncertain as to formula
The first time I did it I shifted it to (1,2) then down one and over one. The next time I did it I shifted it to (2,1) and then down. Am stuck
Thanks for your assistance.
