Question 179687: Will you please help to graph the below.
Plot the graph of the equations 4x - 6y = 12 and x - 5y = 10 and interpret the result.
Plot the graph of the equations 8x - 4y = 12 and -4x + 2y = -6 and interpret the result.

Question 179578: Homework Question:
Find the area of the triangle enclosed by the lines,
1 . y=2/3x -7/3
2. y =-1/2x+3/2
3. y=-6x-5
Find the points of intersection and then map on a graph.
I started out by finding the x and y coordinates of each line to plot on the graph. The triangle I get is so small that I know I need to find the points of intersection but I am not sure how. Then I guess find the side length I think and lastly the area but unsure of what path to take. I am a middle grade teacher working towards my endorsement and taking class. This was the homework the teacher gave. He made it up, it did not come from a text.
I would appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks!!!

1) find an equation of the line point slope form that passes through (4,3) and is parallel to the line 3x-y=7
2) what is the equation in standard form of the line through (4,1) an (-2,3)?
3) find the equation of the line with x-intercept 5 and y-intercept 8
it would be great if someone could help me with these! :)

Question 181771: can you please help me do these problems?
solve by graphing method.
1)y - x = 4
y = 3x + 2
2)x + y = 1
5x + y =-7
3)4x + 2y =6
x - y =3
solve by the substitue method
4)
a=3b
a-5b=16
5)
8c-d=-3
4c+5d=15
6)
9p=2q-6

Question 182030: This is a two part question:
The function f(x) is graphed points are (3,-1), (1,0), (0,3), (-2,4)
Graph y=-f(x-2)
I'm not sure but I have the new points as (-3,-1), (0,1), (0,3) (2,4)
Could you check this for me
The funtion f(x) is graphed points are (3,-1), (1,0), (0,3), (-2,4)
Graph y=f(2x)
I have a TI-84 Plus - I'm not sure how to use it very well and my instructor doesn't give much in the way of using it. So I'm kind of lost.

Question 188892: if i give you two points on a graph say (5,20) and (8,29) where do i go if i do
20-29=-9
--------
5-8=-3 then i do
-9 / -3 getting 3 ok then i make a table knowing that the slope is 3? but then 0 or y intercept is 5 right but then they want me to solve algebra method where do i go next from there? do i make a graph or a rule first? because the rule would be y=5x-3 right?
