Three pizzas and four sandwiches cost $34. three pizzas and seven sandwiches cost $41.50. how much does a pizza cost?

so far all I have is let x= cost of pizzas and let y= cost of sandwiches.

3x + 4y = 34 first sentence
3x + 7y = 41.50 second sentence
If we subtract the top equation from the bottom we get
3y = 7.50
divide each side by 3
y = 2.50 which is the price of a pizza
