Question 951549: Here is what the given is y = x -2 (3,1) (-2, -4 ) show each pair solution and then graph the two pairs to find another solution . I think the first numbers in the parenatheses is the x place and the second is the y place . but I can't get the part to show how the solution was gotten, I assume it is a equation problem. I really do not know what they want for the third solution.
Thank you for any help I can get.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! we are given the equation y = x -2
first we check that the points we are given lie on the graph of our equation
*****************
check point (3,1)
1 = 3 -2 = 1
therefore point (3,1) is on the equation graph
*****************
check point (-2,-4)
-4 = -2 -2 = -4
therefore point (-2,-4) is on the equation graph
*****************
note that the y-intercept point (0,-2) lies on the equation graph
-2 = 0 -2 = -2
*****************
here is the graph of the equation
