You can put this solution on YOUR website! I assume that you are refering to the Cartesian coordinate system which is also known as the rectangular coordinate system.
The Cartesian coordinate system was developed in 1637 by the French mathematician & philosopher, Rene Descartes, from whose name we get "Cartesian".
