:
The slope intercept form is y = mx + b
x + 2y = 6
Subtract x from both sides
2y = -x + 6
Divide both sides by 2
y = -.5x + 3, is the slope intercept form

To graph choose at least 2 values for x and find y
Let x = 2
y = -.5(2) + 3
y = -1 + 3
y = 2
plot the ordered pair: x=2; y=2

y = -.5(-2) + 3
y = +1 + 3
y = 4
