You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The slope of the equation given is; 1/5, a purpendicular line has a negative opposite slope;
so the slope of the new equation will be; -5
Now with the given slope, plug into the slope-intercept form the given values and solve for b;
y=mx+b
7=-5(-2)+b
7=10+b
b=10-7
b=3
So your equation will be;
y=-5x-3
