You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Any line that passes through the origin will pass through the point (0,0). So this means that when x=0, then y=0. Plug these values in to get 0=3%280%29%2Bk. Multiply to get 0=0%2Bk and combine like terms to get 0=k. So the value of k is k=0 meaning that the equation that passes through the origin is y=3x
