Question 225391: Here is the problem type I am having problem with. I just do not understand how to work them. I have read my text book and still nothing. EXAMPLE: 5y-15=5x I am supposed to figure out the plotting points and use the intercepts to graph the equation. I just need to understand this process. Thanks in advance.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Here is the problem type I am having problem with. I just do not understand how to work them. I have read my text book and still nothing. EXAMPLE: 5y-15=5x I am supposed to figure out the plotting points and use the intercepts to graph the equation.
--------------------
The graph will be a straight line, so 2 points are sufficient to plot it.
y = x + 3
---------
To find the intercepts:
For y, set x = 0
y = 3 --> (0,3) 1st point
for x, set y = 0
x = -3 --> (-3,0) 2nd point
Draw a straight line thru the 2 points.
