You can put this solution on YOUR website!
HOW DO YOU SOLVE 4x-6y=18 AND PUT IT IN y=mx+b FORM?

Step 1. Need to put above line in slope intercept form given as y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept b when x=0 or at point (0,b).

Step 2. Solving for y in 4x-6y=18 yields the following steps.

4x-6y=18

Subtract 4x from both sides of the equation

4x-6y-4x=18-4x

-6y=-4x%2B18

Divide by -6 to both sides of the equation

-6y%2F-6=-4x%2F-6%2B18%2F-6

y=-2x%2F3-3

Step 3. Comparing y=-2x%2F3-3 with y=mx%2Bb we have m=-2%2F3 and b=-3

Step 4. ANSWER: y=-2x%2F3-3.

I hope the above steps and explanation were helpful.
