Factor using the perfect square trinomial formula
9x^2 + 6x + 1

Think of two numbers whose product is 9 and whose sum is 6.
The numbers are 3 and 3.
Rewrite the trinomial:
9x^2 + 3x + 3x + 1
Factor the 1st two and the last two terms separately:
3x(3x+1) + (3x+1)
Factor again:
(3x+1)(3x+1)
