You select five arbitrary different values of  x  and calculate  5  corresponding values of  y,  using the given formula.

It gives you  5  pairs of coordinates  (x,y),  i.e.  5  points in the coordinate plane.

Then you take a pen and a graph paper and mark these five points  (x,y)  there.

Finally,  you take a pen and connect neighbor points.


That's  all.


The curve is called   " a parabola ".

So,  it is strange to me to see a visitor of this forum,  who is unfamiliar with this technology/methodology
