Question 1027640: Three points A,B,C are on level ground such that B is due north of A, the bearing of C from A is 35 degrees and the bearing of C from B is 125 degrees. If the distance between A and B is 100m, calculate the distance of C from A to 1dp.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi there,
Using your coordinates I
have a right angled triangle.
Angle ACB = 90 degrees
Angle BAC = 35 degrees
Angle ABC = 55 degrees
Using Cos (35) = Adjacent/ Hypotenuse
Adjacent = Hypotenuse x Cos(35)
Adjacent = 100 x cos(350
Adjacent = 81.9m
Distance from A to C = 81.9m
Hope this helps :-)
