You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A market woman sells oil in cylindrical tins 10cm deep and 6cm in diameter at #15.00 each.
If she bought a full cylindrical jug 18cm deep and 10cm in diameter for #50.00.
How much did she make by selling all the oil?
:
Find the volume of the two containers. Small tin radius = 3, large tin = 5
v+=+pi%2A3%5E2%2A10
v = 282.7433 cu/cm
and
V+=+pi%2A5%5E2%2A18
V = 1413.7167 cu/cm
Find how many small tins in the large tin
1413.7167/282.7433 = 5 tins
Find her profit
p = 5(15) - 50
p = 75 - 50
p = $25
