Question 174919: Gentlemen:
What is the general name of the geometric curve on which contacting, radiated (not parallel!), peripheral(!) rays would be re-focused into rays parallel to the curve’s axis?
I am working on the analysis of ray-tracing of the eye.
Thank you.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The curve that would focus (reflect) rays emanating (radiating) from the focal point (focus) into rays parallel to its axis of symmetry is called a parabola.
