At the angle to the horizontal of  30 degrees,  vertical component of the speed is

        sin(30°) = 0.5  of the magnitude of the initial speed

and horizontal component is  cos(30°) = sqrt%283%29%2F2 = 0.866  of the magnitude of the initial speed.
