You can put this solution on YOUR website!
multiply both sides by x
then divide by 4

-----------------
No formulas are needed.
Just do whatever is needed to get x isolated on one side of the equal sign.
------------
48/x=4
Eliminate fractions by multiplying by x
48 = 4x
Divide by 4
12 = x
x = 12
====================
48/x=4
Another method:
48/x=4/1
Invert both sides
x/48 = 1/4
Multiply by 48
x = 12

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+48%2Fx+=+4+
Just multiply both sides by +x+
That is perfectly OK
+48+=+4x+
Now divide both sides by +4+
+x+=+12+
